Ok - I had issues with the transmission a year ago and had it rebuilt. 8 months later it started going into limp mode and I took it back to the shop that rebuilt it (Exton Transmissions, in Exton PA - Stay Away!!). 6 weeks after having my car, Larry (owner) decided to call me back after avoiding me for all that time, only to say he wasn't going to be able to honor his warranty and fix the car. Needless to say, he hung me out. I spent a fortune of a rental that whole time, which still erks me! Anyway, I went to pick it up and found that the battery was dead. It had had a fairly week battery for a while, so I decided to replace it. I installed the new one and presto, it started right up!. i didn't even get it into gear when it started sputtering (after about 2-3 min) and then died out. Everytime after that when I tried to start it. It would fire up and then stall out. I couldnt give it any gas, or it would stall out faster. Now its at the point where it wont even fire up.
I had to have it towed home where it sits.
Does anyone have any clue what it could be? When I dropped it off, the engine ran perfectly. Now it wont even start!
The situation is messed up, but I still have to deal with it. Any help, Please???

Not that you'd want to return to this joint to have your car serviced after such experience. It's more for the principle.

I simply added more fluid and it ran fine. On the A8 with "permanent fill" you may not be able to add fluid without getting access to the bottom drain pan...but it might be part of your problem.
