1998 A8 for $2800 w/bad trans
Found a pretty clean 1998 A8 in C/L for $2.8K. Ad says it has a "problem transmission". I'm guessing a new tran. So, I find one on ebay for $2K. They call it a 4HP24A, which is what I have in my 1990 V8. Didn't the 1998 A8 have a 5-speed auto? Or, was that an option. They say it was rebuilt by ZF. I've got a call into my mechanic for tranny swap cost. Does this sound doable?
