I have an early 1999 A8 with 2 pad front calipers, not the later 4 pad caliper. I understand the change was made during the model year. I am not overly happy with performance of the brakes when compared to my 2000 4.2 A6 which had the 4 pad units. Is it possible to switch over to the 4 pad calipers? Do I need more than calipers and pads? What about sliders? Struts? This is my winter commuter car, do not what to go too far into the upgrades.
