Default 2000 A8 Snow's and a newly BROKEN wheel!

I thought I would post a pic of the new 19" snows I just installed on my 2000 A8. I understood that the wheels were not of the same quality that my 20" Lorinsers are, however in my mind they were winters and I wouldn't be putting through the paces as I do my summers. I at the time thought they were a great value. Paid $700 for the set of 4 brand new on Ebay. Problem ends up being that they are not simply just a low end wheel they are total garbage quality, hit one minor pot hole at 50kph and BROKE a wheel. I have hit that same pot hole in the past (obviously not on purpose) with my 20" Lorinser LM6's with a 30 series tire and had no issue. I am going to talk to the MFG'er and hopefully raise a little hell. Any thoughts, I could understand if the wheel bent, but the break such as the image shows, in my mind is a little crazy. What do you guys think?

Wow, you can see the thickness is very thin at the break point. Probably very cheap gravity casting

Who was the manufacture of these wheels? They do look great but obviously not up to spec.

Also is your car lowered?

The wheel is a Monet Gothic, i have been talking to the MFG'er and they have agreed to supply me with a new wheel prior to getting this one back. The car is lowered with the standard Eibach's and Bilstien setup. Have a look at my profile pics with my 20's on the car it looks very lower and wide.

Thanks
