2000 A8 Transmisssion Flush Questions!
#11
I'd recommend they throw in a bottle of red Lubegard transmission treatment, with the new fluid.
I swear it extended the life of my transmission another 10-12,000 miles, when I thought it would require an immediate rebuild.
I'm pretty sure Tozo still recommends it, too.

Any recommendations on tranny fluid service in Raleigh-Durham, NC area...
for a 97 A8 Quattro?
I've been reading many posts about tranny issues (major ones to just hunting). I might have the same hunting thing every now and then, very minimal though. Only when I'm driving from 25-50mph, I notice if I'm in the instantaneous MPG calculation mode, the MPG will sometimes show "---MPG " in between the real values like "22.6 MPG" and when it's doing that, the RPM might have been strangely go up or down or just stumbling for 200 to 300 units.
I'm not sure if this is a sign for something big to happen... and I don't know if I need to flush and fill my tranny fluid or not. Any advice?
