My 2001 S8 is due for new front brakes. What's a good place to get the pads and rotors, and how much should I expect to pay?
Thanks,
Barry

Try clairparts.com, it will probably be your best deal.
If you get OEM parts, they won't squeal, period.
And if you need front pads, you probably need rear pads too.
I think Audi pads from a dealer at a discount will be $70 rear and probably $180 front.
And if you don't want them to squeal, buy them at a dealer.....or did I mention that already?

Thanks, I'll try Clair. I tried e-mailing them and never heard back. I guess I have to try that phone thingy.
The rear pads are nearly new, having been replaced under warranty in a completely failed attempt to stop brakes from squeaking loudly when stopping in reverse. Going forward, no squealing.

i replaced mintex red box, which squealed when warm from the day they were installed. 3,000 miles on the green stuffs and no squeals. but my experience may be an exception.
