My speedometer and odometer stopped working. The needle does not move on the speedometer, and the odometer is stuck on a certain millage. This is a new problem. Tachometer and Display work fine. Any help or advice is appreciated.

sounds like the vehicle speed sensor, if you have vagcom you can check and confirm.

I start by checking the plug connection on the VSS (vehicle speed sensor), on drivers side, top left of the axle shaft flange. If the wire looks OK, the sensor comes out without tools...held in with a plastic clip..rotate and pull straight out. It's a simple magnetic pick-up...look for damage.
