2002 4.2 40v timing belt replacement
does anyone know of a good write up for the timing belt replacement on a 40v engine? (I have only seen writeups for the 32v engine). also, a parts list that I'll need? any other recommendations or words of wisdom while I'm in there? would you reccommend repalcing anything else ie. coolant hoses, etc? I definitely plan on doing water pump, serpentine tensioner. what about t-stat?

Yes, thermostat...most likely part to fail and the cheapest.
No good write-up online...even the 32V write-ups are incomplete and a few pieces of bad advice.
Here's the best write-up available and the most important/essential tool in the box, if you're gonna take on the big jobs...no excuse NOT to have it... I tackle NO job without it...even ones I wrote tutorials about:
