2002 A8L radio dimly lit, but doesnt play
Any thoughts? I am concerned if I leave it overnight, I will lose battery power. Any help is appreciated.

Reset it
Pull the radio (you need the tools), pull the fuse on the back of it, and then try it again.
Make sure you have the code for it though....or just vag-com it....
Or better yet, it's under warranty, bring it to the dealer!
