2002 BMW 7-Series
On the way back from lunch today was the 1st time I actually pulled up behind a new 7-Series. It's amazing that I haven't seen one of these big boys before now, as North Atlanta area is quite a BMW haven. Also, I had never taken the time to drop into a BMW dealership to actually look at one.
At first I thought I was pulling up behind an Infiniti or didn't Mazzeratti make a 9.5 sedan model that had this similar rear-end, but then realized this car I was looking at was way too "wide in stance" and "too big" to the sensories.
I couldn't really make out the "fin", if that's what I should call it, until I pulled up next to it. The driver looked to be distracted playing with is I-drive ( or perhaps he was playing with something else ), but the side view of the 7 looked "OK".
Sure hope Audi doesn't screw up a good thing and move too far to the A6 egg-shape in the rear for 2003.

The one thing they did that's really nice
I was sitting next to a new 7 series the other day at a stop sign. One reason they look so cool from the side is the stock 19" wheels. I can't remeber what they were, but I think 245's at least.
I'm sure Audi and Mercedes will follow with making the wheel wells bigger for those 19" monsters, I think that looks great on the car!
