Is the 2002 S6 Avant enginine and transmission the same as the S8?

Is the 2002 S6 Avant enginine and transmission the same as the S8?
A beautiful S6 Avant is on the Karquattro web site.Is this the same tranny/engine as a 2002 S8?

The S6 has very tall gearing, even taller than the A8
The tranny itself is the same, the ZF 5HP24a, but the final drive ratios are ...
S8 3.730:1
A8 2.909:1
S6 2.727:1
And I thought the A8 was geared too tall; I didn't know the S6 was even worse!

Except for the front and rear steel subframes :-(
Here's a pic of the rear (from audipages Rear Sway Bar Upgrade). The aluminum A-arms bolt to steel stampings ... bummer.
