Default 2004 A8 (SWB) flaws

Thus far the cars performed very well.

Some gripes, I had an instant where the running lights would not turn off even though the light switch was, the washer fluid reservoir is on the small side, i get the odd 'transmission error', and my central rear brake light has failed.

The cars 2200 miles young, still, im happy. Hope you guys are too with your cars.

Happy new year,

Rod

Hello, and happy new year. If the setup is the same as US cars, your light problem could be your turn signal. If the turn signal stalk is left up or down when you take the key out, you'll get a warning beep inside the car, and the lights will stay on outside. Make sure the stalk is in the neutral position when leaving the car. If that isn't the problem, best of luck finding the solution with your dealer!

Default Hey target, I love those wheels! BTW, I guess that when you order a SWB

you get a smaller washer fluid reservoir!! Enjoy the car.

Thanks for the tip MBDefector, the problem did cure itself after a while, so it must have been the indicator stalk.

By the way, I have the 255/45 R18 tyres, and was wondering what pressure you guys have them set at? I'm currently at 36 PSI, I like the firmness.

I go with 31 rears, 33 fronts, and the ride is fine.
