How to make the V60c phone work with the Audi A8L MMI? I have a 2004 A8L, have purchased the phone cradle from Audi and a Motorla v60c phone. When I install the cradle and put the phone in the cradle, I can tell there is connectivity from the car to the cradle to the phone becuase the phone does charge while in the cradle. However, there does not appear to be any telephone feature connectivity to the MMI. All incoming and outgoing calls from the MMI are routed through OnStar. Any ideas on what I need to do to get my v60c phone, when installed, to be the MMI phone?

You're not doing anything wrong.
There are a lot of very informative posts on this topic on this board already. Just do a search on "V60" and I am sure you'll come across them. The guys here were great help when I was trying to figure this all out.

There is very little integration. There is no integration with MMI. When the V60 is properly installed in the cradle you can use it to call and it takes priority over the built in onstar phone. You can lift up the arm rests and bend your arm back at an awkward angle and take your eyes off the road and dial a number or you can hit the right button on the steering wheel and use the onstar voice prompts to dial. As stated above if the V60 is in the cradle it will be used for the call and to receive calls. If it is not in there the built in onstar phone works. You can buy minutes from onstar for this phone--about .30/minute. I don't use the onstar phone much unless I forgot the V60. The entire system is pretty low tech but probably keeps the lawyers happy.

In your post you specify that you bought the phone cradle from Audi but, the way you worded your post, it appears you might have purchased a generic V60c phone and not the Audi-branded phone.
If that is the case, you will get no integration at all. There is unique software in the Audi-branded phone that lets it 'integrate' with the car's telematics. A regular V60 will not work without custom hookup not blessed by Audi. When you get the Audi-branded V60c, it will supersede the Onstar phone whenever it is correctly placed in the cradle, and the car's voice dialing system will work with the V60 instead of the Onstar phone. There is no MMI integration, however, even with the AUdi-branded phone. So only benefits of the Audi phone are voice dialing, answer/end and initiate calls with the steering wheel button, volume control, use of car's audio system for incoming calls, and radio mute when a call comes in. Nothing else with the MMI interface.
