Is that it reinforces how good the interior materials were that Audi used in the D2s. The seats on this car clearly show some wear, but they are not at all cracked/torn/crinkled. Dash looks very good, certainly not what you'd expect in a car with 370,000 miles.
The seats/panels/dash in my LT leather-seated Suburban look far, far worse at 80,000 miles.
It's one of my loves for the D2-- I think the quality of materials and workmanship is incredible in these A8s. Better, probably, than is used in the D3s. (Even though I like the D3 interior aesthetics a bit better.) My D2s have an average of over 135,000 miles on them-- yet, the seats don't show a mark or blemish. It is amazing.

Amazing that after 370,000 miles the drivers seat still looks great.
It never ceases to amaze me how well they hold up...the interior on my 90 V8q with just over 200k miles looks literally like new.
Simply amazing.
