5W-30 Mobil one synthetic. Is that OK for the hot summer in Jersey
I am about to do an oil change. I had 5W-30 Mobil one in the winter. Should I use the same numbers for the summer. I think that is what the dealers use but on audipages PaulW says to use something like 5W-50 for more protection aginst the heat. Help I am a bit cofused.

Mobil 1 5w-30 is fine, ...
I use Mobil 1 0w-40 year round in Pennsylvania.
Mobil doesn't make a 5w-50 synthetic, I think Paul meant 15w-50, but I wouldn't use this in an A8 with less than a 100k miles on the clock.
