Default Is 89 octane ok to use on the 4.2 motor?

I always use 93 however due to gas prices the 93 octane is not pumped as often as before thereby creating stagnant fuel in the tanks.

This old fuel is then pumped into my tank. According to owners of fuel stations that I know, 93 octane sales have significantly dropped.

I know that it messes with your fuel economy.

Pay now (93 Octane) or pay later (ignition problems).

I use 89 every once and awhile. I prefer to avoid it though.

Default it's funny because the extra cost is negated by increase in mileage.

people are dumb

Default I'm not worried about the cost. I'm worried about stagnant unused 93 octane fuel being pumped...

into my tank.

Due to higher prices 93 octane has been accumulating in the tanks.

Default I'm laughing at the general public. LIke my parents who have a turbo car and use 85 now

No matter how many times I tell them that #1 the engine ill eat itself and #2 the extra cost is 100% negated by the extra mileage - they will not buy it.

Default Doubt that that's a problem at all except for the seasonal fuel composition change.

Winter fuel has higher volatiles to allow easier starting in cold weather, but even that fuel would work fine in the summer. Old "summer fuel" next winter might be a problem.
