On I-44 passing through Tulsa at 65 mph, A8 lost all power. Audi dealer there is 2 weeks out so could not look at it. Other than a fuel pump what else could this be? Ideas?

If you mean the engine would no longer run and the rest of the car works, most likely a fuel pump.
If electrical power, need more symptoms.

Did it DIE or just sputter and choke and not accelerate well? did you pull the codes? If so, what were they? if not, go to Autozone and get them to pull the codes for us and post the results here and we can decipher for you a lil better. Good luck.

Sorry, meant to say it lost engine power, as if ignition was turned off. May have sputtered a bit but very little. Last week the car died at a stop light and would not restart. I was low on gas but computer showed I had 60 miles in tank. I added a gallon of gas and it limped to a station where I filled it up... it ran fine for 300+ miles. Sounds like fuel pump? Could it be filter?
The car is in Tulsa 200 miles from me. I had to rent a car.

Thanks. Hoping its a fuel pump relay but cannot check it out myself. Have to rely on word of unknown mechanic who has a fuel pump instock.

I know it sounds silly, but check the gas. If one of the fuel senders goes bad, the tank can incorrectly register to have gas when it doesn't.
This happened to me and it wasn't unil they pulled the tank to replace the fuel pump that they figured it out.

I walked to the gas station twice to fill my one gal can (which I carried because of the event one week earlier). Then after the wrecker lifted the car we stopped for gas .... took only 10 gallons to fill. So, gauge was accurate showing a half tank.
