^^ Love it! ^^
93 is the normal premium where I live...anything below that feels horrible to me. Some states (or areas?) don't allow higher than 91 (92?), as I understand it.
93 alcohol-free is available at rare locations (most 93 here is 8-10% alcohol) and has a little better kick to it...and a little better mpg's (alcohol doesn't put out as much heat as real gas)....but it runs up to 15 cents higher per gallon.

As mentioned before, I've been comparing 87 vs 93 octane in my A8. I'm on my 3rd tank back on the 93. it does feel like it runs smoother and better throttle response. Averaging 20.86mpg on the 87 over 2600 miles and 22.20mpg on the 93 over 1317 miles.

Houston to Little Rock. Windows up & AC @ 72 degrees, driving the speed limit (which is 75MPH in a few places) up HWY 59 & I-30.
25.4 MPG. So much for conservative driving BS.
(Little Rock weather is nothing compared to living in an armpit like Houston).

Numbers with 100% gasoline on 2012 A-8 4.2 - Hwy driving at 75-80 I would get 30-32 mpg...seriously. With ethanol mix it would drop to 28-29. That is hwy only.
Numbers with 100% gasoline on 2013 A8L 4.0TT - With cylinder deactivation on it is 28.5 hwy tops. With deactivation off it drops to 26-27. Ethanol mix will drop these numbers but I have not had the chance to check it. I need to recheck these numbers once I feel I have all ethanol out and a full tank of 100% gasoline... I believe I still have a good mix of ethanol still floating around as car is new.
EPA at its best.

Minneapolis to near Detroit at 30 mpg. I thought it was a mistake until I did the trip on 1 tank of fuel (91 oct).
I'm nervous now because I changed the spark plugs yesterday with 52k on the clock. I hope I didn't jinx myself...
