Default A8 help

I thought I was smart my headlights would not go on or my highbeams but if I held out the highbeam switch thay would go on.
So I started looking for fuses I was not able to find any that were blown so I was at this point just looking 4 something.
After pulling out the back seat I found a wire that looked unpluged and pluged it in Now I had the airbag light on. so I unpluged the battery to try to reset it and guess what the check eng. light is now on CAN anyone help to reset this and a answer to the orig. headlight problem. with out going to the dealer.
Thanks in advance
Barry

Default Re: A8 answers ....

maybe I can try 2 help U here. First off the Headlight thing is the switch/arm gone bad. You need a replacement. Be sure 2 get the correct one as there was a split/change in the part numbers. One does not fit the other. Check PaulW's site under cruse switch replacement.

As for the airbag light, the pressure sensors for the rear airbags must have been disc. Reconnecting them caused the light to come on. MUST be reset with VAG tool.

Hope this helps,

Default Most likely your ignition switch

Go to audipages.com under electrical and look at the ignition switch replacement procedure for more info.
