You only get to write off up to $24k over 5 years. It would be a great second car but I only have one. I just take straight mileage and it works out to be the same.

my A6 4.2 last week. That Cayenne (or Touareg) might have been a nice change of pace...and fun. With the huge up front write off, it would be a better buy than the A6. Excuse me, I've got to go fire my accountant who "steered" me wrong on this point.

This new loophole encourages business owners to buy huge, heavy, thirsty trucks. What the USA needs is a tax-incentive to buy frugal, lightweight vehicles.
