The 97-99 A8's have a smaller passanger side mirror.

If you set the right mirror so you can't see the side of the car it's fine

okay... its funny, because many people in the states would consider that a "european" upgrade for their cars.

I barely use my passenger mirror though, a quick flick of the head to the right is always good practice... my old buick gs400 didn't even have a passenger side mirror!

I find a quick flick of the head to be more dangerous to me than helpful.

My SO does it all the time, and it seems to really distract her from driving, plus the car moves to the right when she looks to the right/behind her.

I adjust my mirror so it's wide, and I can see everything through peripheral vision, right side mirror and the rear view mirror.

Just my $0.02

Default While we're talking mirrors... delaminating?

What is the accepted fix for those delaminating side view mirrors? My driver's side is at about 50% at the moment.

Oh slick... variable gradient mirrors! Who was your source originally?

Do you have part numbers for either US or Euro spec replacement glass?

Its a good idea to have the mirrors wide to the blind spot. Its a common European practice.
