A8 Recall Campaign - Transmission Replacement

Heard from the dealer that starting today, AoA will fully reimburse owners of failed A8 transmissions regardless of cause. In addition, free transmission service, including fluid and filter changes for life, for anybody with an A8.

This campaign also includes similar provisions for the heated steering wheel and arm rest.

Just had my transmission serviced at an independent...Would love to have a working heated strngwhl.

I have it from a good source that Audi is offering any owner of any year A8 an '02 S8...

...as a show of good will.

And BMW has thrown in the towel to the A6 and A8 amd will now start selling these models rather than their 7 & 5 series at dealerships.

Should I delete this after today?

One of the reasons I really like this forum is the ability to search for and retrieve relevant information about my car. Unfortunately, my thread topic will just add to the clutter clogging up the search engine.

Should I delete it after today so anyone searching for recall A8 transmission will get accurate results, not some silly april fool prank?
