My seat back is so close to vertical that I didn't need to taper it.

Your F1 lay-down seating may require more attention.
I used the Mother of All Attachment systems because I wanted to be able to remove the box quickly in the unusual event that I needed every square inch of the trunk (it's never happened). Same reason I put in-line plugs in the wiring between the amp and the sub.
I just looked at it and I used all of about 8 square inches of Velcro, all on the bottom of the sub box. The sub and box are so heavy, they ain't going anywhere. Unless, you know, you have one of those mighty S8s, where the cornering speeds are 72% higher...

I believe skiracer would be the source for the highest grade of Velcro...

Drive by wire and improved (or newer) valve bodies. The S8 is never below 1600 RPM, and most of the time over it....so it's not a problem with the S8 at all.

Putting an 02 or 03 TCM in my 97 will give me a sportier shift. But could it also keep the revs up so some of the hunt/thump may be diminished?
I want to keep the A8. I don't have the selection you guys have. I haven't even seen another A8 here. I saw one S8 but it was a California car.
So, if this won't help, tranny swap (to newer version) url please?

Or at least I think. I wouldn't buy one and try it.....but it is an interesting thought.
First step would be to do a wiring diagram comparison. If all was the same.....then maybe try it.....but I don't think it would work.
