Any snowboarding A8 owners here? I'll be buying either an A6 or A8 (1998-2000 models) soon and know that the rear seats in A6 fold down but not in A8. Will a snowboard fit in the A8's trunk? I know I could just get a roof rack, but I'm still curious. Thanks!

I never owned a snowboard, just rented after a flight, so I've never tried to transport one.

How tall is your snowboard? How wide? I'll stick a tape measure in the trunk.

The sack is a great piece of engineering. the sackrolls up to fit in the pocket behind the rear fold down arm rest.

Keept the board grime and snow in th sack, not in your car. Since the boards are shorter than skis, it does not need to push much into the passenger compartment either.

My board is 12" x 63" - thanks for checking that for me. I figured it'd be too wide to fit through, but the other guy said his fits... excellent news.

Thanks, man. I think all of the A8s I'm currently looking at have the winter package. My board's a 163, but I think all boards are pretty much the same width... so it looks like I'd be ok. Rock on!

Mine is 60 inches long and it fits diagonal in my 2000 A8L. I don't know if the trunks are different. I'm sure you can fit an extra inch in there but not sure about your 63 inch board. I can fit two in there back to back.

Winter Package cars have the ski seat pass-through? I though that was a sub pass-through! Doh!

Well there it is - thanks for the pic! Between that and the fact that it will fit through the pass-through I think that concern has been satisfied. Thanks everyone for your help.
