Found very nice A8L and also Mercedes E430 4Matic. almost same mileage(78-79k), color(black), and options.
Test drove both. Both are fabulous and honestly, cannot make up my mind.
Help me!!

had an e430 4m myself. stupidly traded it for new e500 4m and sold that shortly after for my s8.
e430 was great car also..
smaller than a8
mb more stylish exterior in my opin.
no rear htd seats (if you care)
rides a bit harsher over the bumps
has bit of that MB throttle lag (less than some other models)
check for rust in doors and behind seals.
a good example will be reliable car.

It is just so hard to choose between these two.
Same options. Navigation, Xenon, all the others... No rust, no dings, just few rock chips in the front.
Mercedes is way more stylish and Audi.
As far as mechanical longetivity, which one will be better? There are no perfect cars but I don't want constant breakdown on the everyday driving vehicle. Does MB has Timing chain or belt?

I think the MB has a timing chain. The MB transmission 10 times better than Audi (ZF).

Thanks for your pre-purchase inspection of mine @ Maplewood Imports a little over a year ago. It's turned out to be a great car!
