Default 2004 - Geneva report -- new features added

"...centre console with a rearward extension... there is a particularly commodious storage compartment between the (rear) seat surfaces.

The centre console and the four individual seats in the car on display are upholstered in deep-blue leather, with Vavona amber wood trim inlays.

The second A8 L, which has 20-inch wheels, has interior decor individualised by quattro GmbH. This includes seats, door trims, centre console and lower fascia upholstered in magnolia white leather and decorative inlays in poplar saffron.
The roof lining and rear-window shelf are trimmed in white Alcantara and there is magnolia white velour carpeting.

A section of the front passenger's seat back can be folded up so that the rear-seat passenger behind can stretch his or her feet out and rest them comfortably on the front seat (as seen in the new Scoda).

An integral cold-store box in the rear-seat area holds bottles and a number of glasses at a pleasant temperature.

In addition, this A8 L 4.2 quattro features the very latest communication electronics. At the rear of this luxury saloon there is a holder with built-in recharging facility for the car phone, together with a multifunctional communication unit that provides fax, scanning, print-out and phone functions. The system also includes standardised interfaces for laptop computers and PDA.

The latest generation of rear-seat entertainment (RSE) is installed in this Audi A8 L. It has two LED screens in the front-seat head restraints that can be controlled separately by way of the Multi Media Interface (MMI).

The screens can be used to view either TV programmes or DVDs from the car's built-in player with the sound heard either through the car's loudspeakers or via headphones. "
