A8L ...Now or Later?

Greenie,
I have an A8 on order, but have noticed that several people on the pages are talking about waiting for a model after 12/03.
What is the general consensus?
If you, or anyone else that is reading this thread, have your car already, would you have waited knowing what you know now, or are you happy with the car?

doc, good to hear from you. The Dec. 2003 date is rather arbitrary, based on what I believe to be the time when the V60 phone will have the ability to completely integrate with the MMI. But that may not be the case. Who knows? As I see it through this forum, most owners of the car are happy. My car and MB Defector`s car are due within 20-25 days. Germany could declare war on the US again and MB would still take delivery!! LOL! Luckily, a number of 04 A8L owners post here and we can get a feel for what they are experiencing. We have already lived through a few disconcerting situations but for the most part, they have resulted in satisfied customers and thats what counts. We all know the risks of first model year buys but I honestly believe that you would NOT be making a mistake by taking an 04. DISCLAIMER: This is only my opinion!! LOL. Good luck and keep posting!

I've had good experience buying first year vw/audi products.

You could say I like being first on the block wiht the new model. It would sound like if you purchase right now, the only thing you miss out on is some integrated phone. I would never install a phone into a car, that's just my opinion.

Besides, you have the assurance that Audi is going above and beyond with customer satisfaction. AoA bought back a customer's A8 because the auto lights didn't work, that's going the extra mile.

Or the short answer is...get it.
