<center><img src="http://www.epicfoto.com/pics/ronin/ronin_back.jpg"></center><p>Yesterday while doing about 80ish, while accelerating I shifted from 5th into 4th but my hand slipped on the tiptronic shifter (I only got the shifter to about halfway) and it felt like the car suddenly braked... (almost like hitting a wall) the ABS light came on and the ESP off light came on... Everything was okay after that but when I turned off the car and turned it back on the Check engine light came on...

Is this the dreaded transmission thump? I drove the car about 15 miles after that and it didn't happen again, the car still shifts very smoothly in all gears and has for the past 6 months since I got the car...

I plan on getting the Ross Tech software asap, but has anyone had any BTDT's before I do?

Anyone know of a good independent shop in the seattle/Renton?
