Default Accessory Wire - where can I tap into it

Still working on GoPro car DVR project- looking for a wire that will be hot, 12v when the ignition is on and off when ignition is off (accessory ). Access this wire from the fuse box if possible as it needs to be run up to where the sunroof motor is for my project.

Look under the passenger's foot board (central electrics). There's a row of terminal post connections. Stick a voltmeter on em till you find one that's hot with ignition on. I've tapped into this before, but don't remember off hand which is hot when...easy to figure out though.

Ok, yes I did see those posts and wondered if they were all grounds, probably not right if there are multiple posts!

The one with the black wire leading to it is ground. I suspect the large wire is direct from battery so most likely unswitched power, but the far left may be switched (yellow is the standad "ACC" color in car audio). I've never checked myself as I just use the "add-a-fuse" at fuse box location, but I don't know your power requirements. Do you have the option to run it like an amp with a remote wire for turn on?

I tapped off turn signal fuse for my radar detector. I initially tried sunroof power, but for some reason that's always on...probably so can be closed with key.

I ended up tapping the wire from the "car phone" fuse - I am using the sunroof power that is always on to power a dual USB charger up there.

What location was the photo taken at, I don't see all these relays. I'm looking at the footwell fuse box on passenger side.

This is just out of view of the fusebox...fusebox would be on the far right side of photo. Peel back the carpet on the passenger's side. Underneath you'll find a footboard (made of something wooden-like...mdf perhaps) Undo the 4 screws holding it on and slide it to the right and it pops right off.

I know exactly where this is, when my car got flooded, there was mud covering this box and my mechanic commented how they appeared to of run out of money when it came to the covers design.! Miraculously the electronics survived and I've had less electrical issues with this car than my 5 other Audis. Sure the gearbox and fuel pump tanked but ....
