How accurate should I expect the computer to be when showing mileage per gallon and miles to empty? When I check my actual mileage against the trip computer, it seems the computer always overstates my MPG by about 2 MPG. Can this be adjusted?

This was on my S4, but it is most likely the same for all models '00-'02+ with the trip computer. I'm convinced the factory default is to have the average mpg reading about 10% higher than reality. Thanks. I'll keep a record for a few tankfuls and will have my dealer adjust this the next time I take it in for service.
