Default Aftermarket Headunit Resets Itself

Every time I shut the car off, my aftermarket headunit resets and clears all my settings. How can I fix this? I've run a few searches on this entire forum and different models. After sitting here for two hours, I still have no solution.

Well, the instructions had a tiny bit in it about VW and Audis... apparenly, switching the detachable yellow and red wires and swapping them fixes it with no trouble.

One of those wires is probably dedicated to full time battery power to save settings...every unit I've ever installed had this provision.

Default The red one

The red wire on you radio needs to have +12 to it at all times.
