I've asked the seller three times to let me know what the wheel offset (ET) number is, in addition to pointing out the fact that the wheels look like B6 S4 wheels, and that the tires are B6 S4 size tires, and that the center caps look like B6 S4 wheel center caps, etc, etc. The seller seems irritated whenever he responds back, and he still hasn't told me the wheel offset number imprinted in the wheels.
He did come up with this story though:

"The customer purchased the wheels from an audi dealer, the tires from the
tire rack, the tires are a different size than original but what he wanted,
his car was a 2002 A-8 and asked the dealer for S-8 wheels for his car and
paid a good price, I called the dealer and asked what years they would fit
and this is what I was told. If you are not satisfied please do not bid,
thanks for the input."

Do the ET45 offset not work on the A8? I have an Avus rim from a B5 S4, I will test fit it tonight.

Those tires are oem for S4s BTW.

I have 05 S4 wheels on my 98 A8. 2nd blusilvr's assessment of that tire size. Not A8 or S8 that's for sure.

I think the ET is 3mm off that of the S8 wheel. This is negligible.

If interested, keep looking to the Audi World classifieds. The A4 guys are frequently selling theirs.

*** DONT FORGET *** If you buy Avus wheels, order the Avus "center cap puller" from the dealer. Without it, you will not be able to remove the caps easily, or without damage. It is just a little ring with a hook (under $5 ?).

I just testfitted a B5 S4 rim on the front, and it is way over 1.5 inch clearance on the caliper. ET 45 as well

The ebay seller confirmed that his wheels are ET45; So they are definitely B6 S4 whls, not S8 whls.
