Aluminum, Titanium and Carbon Fiber
This is my new bike....have put over 1,000 miles on it so far this year. I washed my car about 50 minutes before I took this picture, hence the reason why I can't stand a black car.
The frame is titanium and carbon fiber.....nice!

A little
Just get wind noise, which you would expect. This is left over from my 97.
I purchased my business partner's OEM roof rack which he bought at the Audi dealer years ago and used once (the kind that you leave the front wheel on).
He forgot to mention that he had no keys for it (no big deal), and that three of the four special rubber feet that contact the roof were missing. It has an OEM part number, but the dealer cannot cross reference, so that rack is as good as worthless.
This old Saris rack works great. I like the fact that you take the front wheel off, gives the bike much more stablity.

Excellent, bike ****! Let the games begin!
Nice ride, Paul!
Cars are swell, but I have never received a cooler gift, or owned more happily a conveyance, than that first candy apple red Schwinn I got for Christmas.
My favorite bikes are built by Scot Nicol and Ibis (read their interesting tech section <A HREF="http://ibiscycles.com/tech/">here</A>). This is their CF mountain bike, the frame for which is less than 5 lbs.:

Their road bike frame is about 2 lbs.:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/84266/silksl_1.jpg">
This is my Ibis Szazbo time capsule, the state of the mountain bike-building art circa 1993 or 4:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/84266/ibis.jpg">
This is my Serotta one-off, handbuilt by Ben Serotta in the late 70's for a lunatic friend who rode it around the world for ten years carrying about 80 lbs. of camera gear to photograph the world's <A HREF="http://sacredsites.com/index.html">sacred sites.</A>
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/84266/serotta1.jpg">
It was beat to near-death when I got it so I sent it back to Serotta for new paint and components about 15 years ago. It's a steel tank, weighs about as much as my A8, but has really sweet geometry and rides like a dream. This week I'm stripping it of all gearage and brakes and rebuilding it into a fixie.
Lest we forget that there are more important things in life...

Re: Excellent, bike ****! Let the games begin!
I'm an Ibis fan myself. I met Scot Nicol years ago at a race and bought a bike right away. It was stolen a few years later and I am still trying to get it reattached. When I'm not in the A8 I ride a custom made Croll touring bike. It's nice to know that we have more in common than just the Audis. I'm going to be riding in the Ogden and Park City UT area in Oct. if anyone is interested in meeting up and riding, let me know. Have a good weekend.

Not 2 shabby ; )
Here are my race bikes.
The Cervelo P3c is basically the Ferrari F1 of bikes. Full carbon monocoque frame,stiff and wind tunnel designed. Durace and FSA Team Carbon Cranks w/ Tyler Hamilton edition Ti pedals. HED Alps race wheels/Conti race tires 22mm. This bike propelled me to 2 Ironman USA finishes.
The other is my road bike.Full carbon Scott CR1SL. 16.2 lbs. This bike climbs like a sick horny monkey.
Together in race trim its worth about what an 01 S8 sells for these days ; ) I think maybe more.
