The old 5ktq would get 34-38mpg on the highway at 70mpg...With the 21gal tank, it had one helluva range.

I drive about 70 in the 65 zone and can always get 28 in my car. When we were kids, my Dad used to get tickets all the time because his goal was to have an average speed of over 75 on the first generation BMW "computers." Remember when they called them computers?
My goal is to get 28 mpg and it keeps the cops away. I get 28 driving 70 all the time. This car will get 32 if you drive in a 55 zone for awhile and dont stop. The highway mileage is amazing for 300hp and the weight of the car.

My car has not left the city of Chicago in about a month. Right now it says 9.8 MGP real big. I turn it off when it's low and I dont want to see it.
We all know they are great on the highway but if you do all city driving, it aint pretty! Still, I have not put more than $20 in this month so you cant complain for short trips.
