I just can't think what it is right now.
Har. No, really, I've loved being a father to an extraordinary daughter, and she has flown my coop. I sort of think I'd like to do it all over again, under the right circumstances, so I tend not to look for single women my age, most of whom, anyway, have six cats and enough baggage to compel them to crack you across the shins with a baseball bat when you're sleeping.
And it was an accident, really. A younger buddy invited me to join his kickball team this summer. Think softball field, with a dodgeball rolled toward the batter/kicker -- and dugouts well stocked with carbohydrate training beverage (a.k.a. "beer") and a grill behind covered with brats and dogs.
She was on the team. Somehow she overlooked the deep degree to which I sucked at the game (my skills are limited to pretty good baserunning due to the use of high-pitched screaming and jazz hands, and psychological operations -- I play catcher and make subtle suggestions to new kickers that there's a slight rut behind home plate that several people have torn their ACLs on. Pretty soon they're kicking pop-up fouls and rubbing at the perfectly level ground behind home plate with a toe.)
And I admired her form (he said politely), her athleticism, her sunny and so far unerasable smile. We'll see if I last the winter -- she likes to do backcountry XC yurt tours high in the Rockies. I am in pretty good shape for a geezer but am thinking of getting a used Iditarod sled which she and her spry young friends can used to tow me if I can't keep up. I'll just have to be very careful to resist the temptation to yell, "Mush!" That would leave me very single again, wouldn't it?
Life is good.

-Tires that sound remarkably like a worn out bearing
-Tires that slide on any on/off ramp driven at more than the recommended speed limit.

You have the perfect vehicle for back country skiing(calling it "XC" is not cool). Getting to the trailhead is how I justified the A8 to my girlfriend.
The secret to keeping up is good gear, technique, and learning how to pack light. Get yourself over to Telemarktips and you'll learn all you need to know. I would start running some stairs too.
