found an 02 S8 at a used car dealer in Erie, PA. it's dark red/w gray leather. it doesn't have a sport steering wheel (thought S8's had one).

no idea what the mileage is on the car, but it looks pretty clean.

for some reason, i got that audi itch again.

A standard four-spoker doesn't mean you're looking at car that isn't kosher.

I saw it on Audifans, and eBay multiple times. He must have given up and traded it in.

No sport steering wheel on an '02 means that it has On-Star. VERY rare option that was added mid-'02. ALL `03s got On-Star with the 4-Spoke wheel.

Also, FWIW, an '02 would be "Burgundy Pearl" and an '01 would be "Andorra". I only say something because they are pretty different. Andorra being MUCH lighter and brighter with more red hues. Burgundy being MUCH darker....to the point of being black without direct sunlight.

Really? In all my years, I think I have seen a total of 4 '02s with the MFSW/On-Star option

Gotta say that I have NEVER seen one of those! It's not on the list of options, but I'd be willing to be that it came with the "Hands Free Phone" option.

...was looking at them a few years ago. no room in the stable for it at the current time, especially with 2 08's with full warranties 8 ^).

nevertheless, it's one hell of a cool car. by the looks, it looks like the exterior was well taken care of. seats look like they need a major detail...

gosh knows what lurks underneath.
