Anyone with an 01'-03' S8 in Richmond, VA area for help?
I have a bud that's looking to upgrade from a 98' BMW 740i.
He thinks maybe the same vintage M5 or perhaps the S8 but has yet to run accross an owner down there to 'explain' the car in detail and its associated highs and lows. He doesn't like the RS6, well, he does(who doesn't?) but needs something that isn't a bear to repair and is rather large, not that an M5 fits the large caveat, but those are his words.
If there's any enthusiastic owner(s) in the area that would be so kind as to help him out with some in person info,a ride, maint. experience etc...e-mail me with what ya' got and we'll see if there's a meet and greet that could sway him one way or the other. I'm at 'norris-j@att.net'. TIA

Jimmaaaaaay mit the neu handle... what happened to der Deutschebag? Priceless, that one. There's...
...no less than 4 D2 //S8s within like a 5mi radius of the DC hub area there, if Keith would head a few mileses north for a gtg.
2 of them were the Ming and Black '03s Brian had, actually.
BunnySlipperBoy... when you've taken off your powder blue ruffled interviewing tuxedo, get Keith's contact info from Jimmaaaay maybe and see what help you can offer? If so, insist that Keith hooks you up with some 993C4S time (as seen @ //SFest2006)...
Smells ya Sat. otherwise Jimmaaaaay...

I'm the one shod in slippers to whom PK refers. I'm in Silver Spring, MD ~ 100 miles up I95
but if your buddy wants to make the trek he is welcome to my keys and he can see for his self. He could likely drive one and maybe two others. Odd how 3 of the same are different.

There Would be Three...
I second; If he could make his way to Silver Spring, I would also let him have a go at it. As you said, there are differences betwixt all three of our cars.

tis me...don't get it wrong, I'm still and hopefully forever will be aka the D-bag 8-)
I changed it so a certain S6 west fest rapist guy wouldn't bother me anymore.
Sweet, thanx guys...I will inform the Chief that there are folks in his area to whom to call upon for encouragement, etc. on the S8 car.
Those were nice cars Brian scored for you guys. I remember, nicer than most used S8 cars. I think me wife actually drove the Ming Blue car and loved all of it. Me too!
Yep, as you say PK...'smell' you saturday nite then!
