Default Anyone ever lose their trunk release switch?

Opened the door of my 01 S8 one day last week and it was just gone. This is actually the second time this has happened. All that's left in its place is a spring. Now all trunk access must come from the key fob. I STF and have seen some people mention this part. My question is do I need to replace the whole switch, or just the button itself? Last time the car was under CPO warranty and the dealer fixed it. This time it's up to me. Recommendations anyone? Bentley(Audi > A8/S8 > 1997 - 2003

Default Is your glove box locked?

It can effect other locks in the car, as protection from valet thiefs.

Also check the key position on the trunk lock, as one position mite reduce the trunk to fob only open
