Anyone get the Transmission Locking Cable Modification safety recall (#37D5/J2) today ?

Affects '96-'03 A8s. The issue is that the locking cable may move out of position over time and thus the shifter can be moved out of park even if the key is not in the ignition. The dealer will install an adjusting piece to secure the locking cable in place. I'm going to take it in this week to see what gives. Too bad they don't own up to the other tranny issues !

experienced this problem? I don't ever recall anyone ever mentioning this on the forum. They won't fix any of the real design flaws, but they issue a recall for a non-problem. Gotta "love" AoA!
