Default there is hard-wiring, and there is soft-wiring!

once you have the hard-wiring in place, you can then go to auto data research and stump up $200 for their adr module. this interfaces the v1 to the comfortbus (can) and means your v1 display is dark with the alerts &amp; direction and counts being displayed in the dis panel.

pretty cool, and very good for ergonomics.

the wiring just replaces the v1 remote unit with the adr black-box. software is configurable (e.g mute all below 50km/hr) and upgradeable...

works very well, and far better than the v1 remote. unbeatable ergonomics and just as much information (although this can be customised through a sw setup app).

there is a bug in that it will override the top 2 lines of the dis when my bt module wants to use it to display contacts. there is a new firmware release that i will install this w/e - hopefully to fix it.

Default If memory serves, you pop off the map light clear cover, which reveals a couple of phillips head

screws. One those are removed, the whole assembly will drop down, giving access to the space above, wiring, etc.
