Anyone have experience with both Goodyear F1 GS-D3 and Dunlop SP Sport Maxx? Opinions, please

How do they compare on ride handling, noise, comfort, tread life.

I know the F1's have a loyal following, but some have complained of noise and treadlife... do the SP's fare any better/worse in those categories.

The TireRack reviews are very positive, but scant on input from S8/A8 owners.

I ran a set of F1's last season for the first time and really like them. Not noisey, very sticky and look cool ;-) Decent tread life for this type of tire. I should be able to get 30k miles out of them. Comfort level is above average for a ZR rated 45 aspect ratio tire. Great sidewalls. I would buy another set! These are summer tires only and rotate them every 5k.

Yeah, thanks. I know the F1's are popular - I'm looking for some real world comparisons

F1's are popular here: see below.

The TireRack survey reviews for the SP Sport Maxx are pretty good... some are from drivers that switched from the F1's, but not many are from drivers of cars that are the weight of an A8, or those with AWD.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/113413.phtml">Recent Summer/Winter Tires thread</a></li></ul>
