anyone know if 17inch s4 wheels will clear S8 breaks?

Don't know, but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't
Is this for a A8 or A4? The S4 wheels are only 7.5" wide, the A8/S8 wheels are 8" wide....I wouldn't put them on a A8.

The design rim width for the 245/50-17 is actually 7.5" ...
with an acceptable range of 7.0-8.5", but wider is better for handling.
As you know well, though, only one max performance tire is available in this size, the PZero Yellow Asymetrico. It'd be a shame to limit an S8 to just this one tire. I wouldn't even consider mounting the 225/55-17 on an S8.
