A few guys on TSN asked me to see if it was possible to make a Quad Sports Exhaust, like on my S8, and ship it as a 'kit'. Paul's earlier post about my exhaust on AW NB: it has an 'H' crossover now, not shown on the pics (will be an 'X' in two weeks time) ;-)
I called them today, and here are the results. I thought I'd share it with you too, in case anyone is interested.
As posted on TSN:
As a rough indication, the Quad 'kit' would be ~ €950,- (Ex BTW/VAT - if applicable outside the EU) and shipping. (shipping to the UK was estimated @ ~ €50,- but I have no idea how much that would be to the US - but we can always ask...)
Not a bad deal methinks...
There are two options, as the exhausts on your cars may differ from one car to the next.
1. They send a kit that may need some minor adjustments, to be adapted by a local fitter.
2. They adapt it there as you wish. (think crossover f.i. and tailored to your car).
In the first case there will be no extra costs, in the latter there may be some, dependent on your wishes.
I would let them use the S8 as a 'template', so no problems there, but as said, there may be some differences with the A8. In that case we'd need to source an A8 to fit the exhaust.
Let me know what you think, start photographing the underside of your car and we'll take it from there. Of course I'd be willing to help out where I can with data and diagrams. (I'll need the usual vehicle data for that).
So who wants a wicked Quad exhaust?

If someone is really interested. It came without at first, as you can see, with the center box as a 'crossover' of some sorts. But they quickly agreed it was better with a 'proper' crossover. So they added that for me.
So I may be able to convince them to do an X instead for approximately the same sorta money...

No, really, just make a template from the left side, and carefully cut out the same on the right.
No $$ parts needed, if they even exist... ;-)
