Default Anyone from Wisconsin on here?

Looking for a reputable repair shop. Might consider dealer if highly recommended. Live in NE WIS but will travel to GB, Mil., or Madison. Thanks!

Default Just saw on TV MSNBC tonight where someone at the University

of Wisconsin had cut CHEEZE blocks with a laser. It was what they call a "cold lazer" as opposed I guess to a "hot lazer." This fact raises three questions; will the "Greenie" upgrade now include a "cold laser" to go with the grader option, and if so when will it be out, and will the much used term "cut the CHEEZE" be replaced with "lazer the CHEEZE?"

Default Actually......

IMHO the "greenie" option will be infringing upon someone's rights here in the state of WI so it will not be available.

I live abaout 45 miles north of Madison and have used Zimbrick in the past but no longer. Bought my car in Wausau, but that dealer has very little experience with A8s as well. Ended up with an independent in Baraboo, Sullivan's Two. They have been servicing both my Audis for several years now with very good results. They obviously do not have spare parts on hand, but then neither do the dealers. If you are willing to travel, give them a try, the phone number is 608-356-9282, talf to Scott or Glenn.

Default Did you ever pull the codes on the car?

If so, what were they?

Blau is just South of Manitowoc sp? about 3 miles, they have a garage, but don't know if they do work on people's car.

http://www.audiquattroparts.com/</a

Default See post below.....

Yes, I was able to pull the codes and found
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16687 - Cylinder 3 Misfire

17611 - Cyl.3-Fuel Inj. Circ. Electrical Malfunction

Am going to do an Ohm check on the #3 Injector. If that tests out going to check the plug. Not quite sure after that. Just continue checking the rec. systems per bentley. Best investment made yet for the car! Thanks Paul!
Any other suggestions?

Default Tell us what you got for resistance

I think we got something like 13 or 16 ohms on EscapA8's car....

If that's good, then you'll have to check the power supply with the LED tester. You can actually get one from radio shack in the LED drawer that has a built in 685 ohm resistor, it's $3. Can't miss it.

But prior to that, check the voltage of pin 1 (and do number 2 also) to ground. With the ignition on, it should 12 VDC. That's the first LED test. The second test that shows how it is fired could also be done with a multimeter, but would probably be easier with the LED tester.

The ross-tech software is great!

Nice that you found the new code....you're almost found the component that's bad! And you haven't taken it to anybody!
