Argh... bought the wrong Diff mounts (there are 3!?)

Stupid me, bought the 2 mounts for the rear "cross member" (#12 below) that supports the diff. Was over talking to the mechanic that put in the gearbox asking him to explain again why he says the diff has to come down to change the mount (as this cross member appears to be removable to me) and it became apparent the mounting he identified as the failed part (causing shunting) was the single front side mounting not the 2 rears:

Mount is #7 and bushing is #7a.
So now that I confirmed I have the wrong parts, Im wondering if I can at least remove this to look at it myself, in the garden without a ramp? Is that do able?
