Actually I had it taken to a welder. My cousin is in a welding course, and bith he and the instructor said they could not weld it because it was aluminum, and something about the leather burning? Can anyone reccomend a welder on the east coast who could do it? I would ship it...

Thanks. The ebay thing looks like it may need all the associated parts, like the grommet, bolt and bolt cover ($40+!yikes...but still cheaper than a new armrest by a lot!), but I am leaning towards getting it, if I can win the auction!
