Default ATF Capacity on the 3.7L non-quattro

Can anyone throw me a bone? I'm gearing up to do the fluid change on a '97 with a CJZ tranny.

Thanks!

Default Here you go

Initial fill
9.0 ltrs. (9.5 qts)
01V

Fluid change (don't pay attention to this)
Approx. 2.6 ltrs. (2.75 qts)1)

Lubricant
Esso LT 71141 2)

The 4.2 is shown as 9.8 liters initial fill......so you need to get 7 litres of the fluid on hand....about the same as the 4.2 quattro.

Hi Paul,
How much would I need in total (96 3.7)9.5L?
Who much should I exspect to pay? per Litre.
Who much should I pay for the Filter and gasket?

Thanks

Thanks for the information Paul!

I found the fluid for a little under $9/liter at germanautoparts compared to $12.95/liter at autohausaz and $14.80/L at the dealer.

You can get the filter/strainer/gasket at autohaus for ~$32

These are all $US prices.

german autoparts also has a combo 17mm/torx tool bit for the drain/fill/bolts for $20 something
