The 4.2 is shown as 9.8 liters initial fill......so you need to get 7 litres of the fluid on hand....about the same as the 4.2 quattro.

I found the fluid for a little under $9/liter at germanautoparts compared to $12.95/liter at autohausaz and $14.80/L at the dealer.
You can get the filter/strainer/gasket at autohaus for ~$32
These are all $US prices.
german autoparts also has a combo 17mm/torx tool bit for the drain/fill/bolts for $20 something
