Default Audi A8 S8 97-2003 pedals from LLTEK group buy?

Hi everyone. i just ordered a set of gas and brake pedals for my 97 A8 in a brushed aluminum finish from LLTEK. They look very nice. I will post pics when I install them. (on lltek website it says that they will fit A8/S8 from 1998 till 2003, but they will fit all 97 A8s too, that is a mistake by LLTEK.)

I am not sure how many people have ordered these before, but if you notice LLTEK does not offer the footrest Pedal. I just spoke to Mark at LLTEk regardig the footrest pedal and this is what he wrote back:

"Thanks for the email. All of our pedals come from Germany. To create the tooling for the A8 dead pedal is quite expensive. If we had 20 prepaid orders we would order up the tooling. Please contact your friends. Then contact me at MARKL@LLTEK.COM"
Regards
Mark

If you guys are interested we can put a group buy of 20 or more people to have LLTEK make these footrest pedals to complement their gas and brake pedals. How many people are interested"

Let me know.

Default they are charging WAY TOO MUCH

Look around, pedals shouldn't cost that much just because they claim they fit Audi. There are tons of universal pedals that are much cheaper elsewhere. There is a link below (just one I came across after 30 seconds of searching for a cheaper source)

Scroll down and check the pedals out

Is the footrest/dead pedal removable to be replaced with something new. I thought it was part of the carpet somehow, but what do I know, I downshift my TIP to much and my breakpedal has no wear..just kidding.

All the Audi tuners like oettinger, abt cahrge the same price. the only thing is that they don't make anything for A8. I rather pay for some pedals that will fit my car perfectly. The pedals I got from LLTEK are exact size of the original pedals and they are top quality. most of the universal pedals are desinged for japanese cara. With an A8 I don't mind spend a little bid more, but get a better quality and exact fitment.

I believe they would go over the plastic factory dead pedal. check www.lltek.com and check their pedal section, you will see some example for other models and they are just awesome.

Default Price is $144, if we get 20 people!!

Hello Paul:

I just got a reply from Mark at LLTEK on the price of the dead pedal, here is the copy of his email:

(There is only one price for the dead pedal. They are regretfully $144. If you check our website you will see that for all of the Audi variations the dead pedal price is the same. Its all based on one price. If we sell 20 A8 sets it will just cover tooling costs and the pedals. So its breakeven for 20 sets. After that we will make a buck or two for a big Mac.
Let us know how it goes. Did you purchase the A8 TUNER SERIES pedals. Did you like them. The dead pedals would match those pedals.

REGARDS
MARK

I suppose that it's the economy of scale working here. This seems like a really rice item, so obviously, the japanese car pedals will be cheaper than ones for an Audi.

There are simply more people pimping up their hondas than their audis, so the cost is less for them.
