hi, i drive a A8L. 280K km; changed oil and filter at 150K km. when start to drive with cold engine, transmission is fine. After 60 km, when leaving highway, there seems to be "no contact" between engine and wheels.than an uncomfortable connection, mostly ending in limp-mode. changed again oil and filter;nothing alarming seen, no result. when engine is hot and out of limp-mode, i must be very careful in driving away as again this "no-connection" feeling comes back.
Does anyone have any ideas on this problem?

thats what mine did...and that was at 85K!!! good luck. If i were you i would just bite the bullet, take it to a REPUTABLE tranny shop with experience working on 5HP24A trannys and just get it worked on..that is...if you plan on keeping the car for a while. It WILL be expensive tho...my full rebuild was $4650!

yes, when it's hot, it seems to slip though 1 till 4rd gear, even when using tiptronic ( which should hold the gear until i change. can this be an adaptation problem? so strange it happend only after half hour drive.
