Bad Bose Amp

My Bose amp is shot. I thought I might get some opinions about replacing it. I thought that if I needed a new amp anyway, is it time to upgrade the cassette Delta radio to mp3? Maybe go for aftermarket on both and lose the CD stacker.
I do like the steering wheel controls though. Any chance of saving this?
For now, is there anyway to bypass the amp (it was an option, yes?) and just feed the speakers from the deck?

Fits like stock. You also have the option to change the menu to match the existing red interior lighting.

That would allow someone to install a double din sized head unit so as not to muck about with the flop down faces on the single din ones these days.
And since it is bose, once one part of the system is bypassed or changed it is not likely to sound very good. They are kinda tricky like that. Sorta an all or nothing senario.
